Tandem flights
What is the minimum age to do a tandem flight? Open to all ages.
Is
insurance included? Yes, insurance is included (possibility to take out complementary insurance).
Do you need training beforehand? No, no training is required beforehand.
What
kind of physical condition do you need? No particular physical condition is required but the pilot should be informed beforehand of any handicaps.
How long is an average flight? The flight duration is around 20 minutes for flights with a vertical drop of 1000 metres.
Can we get photos of the flight? A photographer can offer you these services if you like.
What
equipment do we need to fly? Sport shoes, trousers and windbreaker (or warm clothes in winter).
Can we film or take photos in the air? Yes!
If
there are a few of us, can we all fly at the same time? Yes, we can arrange for you to fly at the same time.
Do you get a flying certificate at the end? Yes, the school will award a certificate afterwards.
On the courses
Are the cable-cars included? Yes, the cable cars are included in certain courses, consult our tariffs
Is
the license/insurance included? No, the license/insurance is not included (around 25€ for our students)
Are the minibus shuttles included? Yes, shuttles are included
What
is the minimum age for solo flying? The minimum age is 12 years old with parental consent
Is a medical certificate obligatory for everyone doing a course? Yes (easily obtainable from doctor in town if you are healthy!)
What equipment do you need to fly? Sports clothes, high shoes (hiking boots best), gloves, sunglasses, sun cream, water.
What
is the schedule for the day? Schedule: 8 o’clock until end of afternoon (varies according to weather); lunch break with picnic if flying outside of Chamonix. For individual courses,
the schedule is adaptable to your timetable.
Are accommodation and food included? No, but we can take care of your reservations if you would like.
