Castelluccio -Italy

Castelluccio is at 1500m, dominating a plain that was once the bottom of an ancient lake: you’ve never seen a landing like it!  The take-offs are situated all around this plain, competing for the best conditions on their grassy slopes, be it for tranquil morning flights, afternoon thermals or evening soaring.
A mound on the plain acts as a perfect learning slope, often with the possibility of afternoon soaring.  The refuge take-off (and its neighbours) allows flights to Norcia (800m to 1000m of vertical drop).
Castelluccio is famous in Italy for its lentils.
Norcia is one of the 2 Italian capitals of truffles and the region also produces excellent wines and meats..

We will take you for a week to Castelluccio de Norcia: you would think it was Mongolia.

At 1500 metres, we fly all directions; take-offs are on small grassy slopes around a cirque for the soaring fabulous.

We can also walk to Mont Vetore at 2400m  (2h walk) and allow ourselves to be gently led down into the little landing area 6 km long and 4 wide with no obstacles.  An ideal space for hours of ground handling facing your wing and games in the wind.

If you really miss the vertical drop, we can do the evening flight at sunset to the neighbouring valley, 1000m lower around Norcia, a very nice village 28km from Castelluccio by road.

Castelluccio is found in the national park of Mont Sibillin in the Umbria region, the capital of the lentil is reputed for its gastronomy so after the flights, it’s ham, cheese and rosé all the way…

A real Italian meal can include 3-5 courses, sometimes more.

  800 km, approximately 8:00 with pause lunch.
  From Monday, September 27 to Friday, October 1:
  Flights parapente and tasting of regional products.
